    D.C. Outlet Claims First A.M. All Digital HD-Only Station In U.S.

    Normally, most HD stations are simply rebroadcasts of another signal, usually AM, that sounds better thanks to HD's superior quality.

    But according to WTOP Washington, there's a new hybrid on the dial and the station claims to be "the first full-time, all-digital, AM radio station in the United States."
