Former CHUM & CFTR Jock Gerry Forbes Hanging Up His Headphones
He's been a fixture in the mornings in Calgary for years, but some here may recall when he worked at both CFTR and CHUM. Now at 61, Forbes says he just wants to stay up late, like a normal adult. So he's calling it quits.

We used to go tooling around the streets of Toronto in his hearse
Got pulled over by Metros finest one night
All good when they determined everyone in the hearse was alive and well
Congratulations to Gerry on a nice career

Wonder if he got the idea of the Hearse from Neil Young. I think Neil was driving the hearse when he ran into Stephen Stills in LA just before the formation of Buffalo Springfield.

Ah...Good ol' Gerry. How long ago did we work together? Seems like less than20...Must have been closer to 30. I'm goin' for 50. But after all those years of gettin' up at 3:00-3:30...who could really blame him? All the best Gerry. I have fond memories of both you and Marty.
