There are still lots of questions about this year's Blue Jays line-up but here's one that's yet to be answered: who, if anyone, is replacing the now retired Jerry Howarth?
The veteran voice of the team announced his sudden departure earlier this month after 36 seasons on the air, just weeks before the games resume on The Fan for the year. And like the mess with the Ontario PC Party, there's not much time to fill the rather massive void.
In fact, the very first spring training match set for broadcast is this coming Saturday against the Tigers - and there's still no word if Rogers has anyone in mind to sit in the big chair. Will it just be Joe Siddall and Mike Wilner for the rest of the year? Or what about Ben Wagner, the voice of the farm team in Buffalo?
Whoever it is, Howarth's decision doesn't leave management much time to find a replacement and I'm wondering if they're even looking for one this year. Siddall and Wilner might work for the infrequent spring broadcasts but will it just be them all season? If not, then who?

I would love to see Wagner as our Play-By-Play guy, I think Wilner is a bit dry and a bit serious...
I like what Joe Siddal has brought since he began...
Not sure if the FAN can coax Dan Shulman away from ESPN duties to take over from Jerry!
Should be interesting to see what happens
