If you're a fan of the BBC and its competitor ITV in Britain, "Britbox" may be of interest to you. The real questions about what it will feature and how much it will cost here remain to be answered. Exactly what this means for the existing BBC cable stuff here is another unknown.
The U.S. based site, which defaults to Canada here or I'd enter the link, describes itself as "The biggest streaming collection of British TV...ever. Dramas, comedies, mysteries, documentaries, soaps, lifestyle and more." Among the offerings there: Coronation Street, The Eastenders, Hercule Poirot, Red Dwarf, "Vintage" Dr. Who, Cracker, Absolutely Fabulous, Black Adder, Fawlty Towers, and a host of documentaries, just to name a few.
