Joe Snider 1956-2026
I hate it when you think about someone, wonder how they are doing, visit their page on FB and you get an obit.
Such is the case with Joe. Worked with him at a few places, including CKO. He was also a teacher for a while.
Christopher Joseph Snider "Joe", age 70, passed away May 2nd, 2026 in St. Catharines, Ontario. He was born January 28th, 1956, in Hamilton, Ontario, son of the late Davis and Audrey Snider.
Joe was a loving father to Sarah (Chris), Ryan (Dolena), and Jacob. Brother to John (Julie), and Jamie Snider. Loving Grandfather to Mikayla. He spent many years in his youth at the family campground in the Ottawa Valley. This was his favorite place in the world. His voice is well known to many, as a lifelong radio reporter/broadcaster. Along with his passion for radio, he was an avid sports fan. Forever following the Leaf's, Blue Jays, and the Tiger Cats. He was an incredibly charismatic man, with a great sense of humour.
He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
Madness takes its toll. Please have exact change.

Did he work at HTZ-FM at any time? I feel like I remember him being on a morning show at some point.

Re: Joe Snider 1956-2026
Joe (not Crazy Joe, who is seen in this video's thumbnail image) appeared in a 1990-ish TV ad for CIDC-FM "DC 103.5 FM", when the Orangeville-licensed station still had studios in Orangeville, in a renovated mansion on Broadway. The spot, produced by and aired on Barrie's CKVR, can be found at the 9:46 mark in this commercial compilation posted to YouTube by "The W/O/C Archive".

Re: Joe Snider 1956-2026
If memory serves me correctly, Joe Snider had some time on both 680 News and AM740. RIP.
