How To Watch The Super Bowl's "Star Wars" Version & U2, Too

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, you could watch February's Super Bowl on a Sunday on the only channel showing it. This year, the rights belong to ABC in the U.S. and CTV in Canada.

But the past few years, the network showing the biggest ratings bonanza of the year, have explored alternate versions of the event to capture kids, the curious and non-football watchers on their streaming services.

Which is why those who subscribe to TSN+ in Canada can see a "Star Wars" version of the big game, with every player being represented by an animated version from the 1977 classic movie.

"Star Wars animated telecast will recreate every play of Super Bowl LXI in real time, transforming players on the field into animated avatars, while Star Wars characters join the action subbing in during key moments and various Easter eggs appearing throughout the game."

Anthony Daniels, who played C3PO in the classic flick, will provide his voice for the game.

The Stars Wars Football version is being produced by Disney in the U.S. The special show and the game itself will be seen on Valentine's Day 2027.

Speaking of choices, Netflix has a Wednesday night pre-U.S. Thanksgiving NFL game and now they've announced a halftime show to give the Super Bowl a run for its money.

The group that will perform between the quarters will be one that worked the big finale in 2002: U2.
