Last night, October 9th, shortly before 10pm, I tuned into Shane Hewitt’s show on CFRB for a few minutes, where they were talking turkey tips on the BBQ. About half an hour later, I was putzing in the kitchen, turned on the radio and heard the exact same turkey segment from about 30 minutes previously. I thought I was losing my marbles for a second but wasn’t, fortunately.
I get re-rolls to fill weekends, although it’s a cop out, but to hear the same segment about half an hour later is pretty lame IMO. No wonder CFRB’s ratings have suffered in the past few years. If you need to repeat a segment, maybe pick one you didn’t just air, you might hold your audience!

Yes - Hewitt's 4 hour show block is only 3 "original" hours (7pm-10pm ET) - though I've heard some other nights' content in the mix in that chunk too, but more uncommonly (vacation, etc.) - with the last hour as a "best of" packaging of the three previous hours of that night. You had commented on that back here:

Yes, a bit disappointing, but I think you’re right that they think no one will listen the entire show, so why not rerolls. It could be just while Hewitt gets up and running, but doubt it!
The days/nights of four hours of original programming are sadly long gone, not sure why though.
I guess there's so much churn with people coming/going, only listening in their cars, etc. that they figure it doesn't matter. On the plus side, if you wanted to catch a segment again or only caught half of it, you don't have to wait for the show audio to be posted online and can hope it's one of the ones in the 10 pm hour. ![]()

No way it was intentional.
Either someone did a scheduling copy & paste mistake (not modifying the pasted version by +1) or some other clerical error.

Quite possible RadioAaron, but Hewitt does repeat segments a lot and although it bothered me, it didn’t surprise me.
