First it was uneven audio levels off the top of CTV Toronto's Noon News. Then things got worse.

About 15 minutes into the show, just as they were doing an update on a new arrest in the tragic B.C. Tumbler Ridge school shooting, the signal mysteriously switched to CTV News Channel. That went on for at least two or three minutes until the local news returned, right in the middle of an intro to a Judy Trinh story.

It appears the anchors had no idea they were off the air for several minutes and they didn't explain to viewers what happened, or why reporter Scott Hurst - whose live debrief was interrupted - never got to finish his story.
