Could CBC's "Hockey Night In Canada" Be Replaced By The PWHL?
Ever since the CBC lost its historic rights to broadcast the NHL on Saturday night to Rogers, there's been speculation as to what would replace it on Canada's national network. And now rumours are flying that it could be the Professional Women's Hockey League.
There's a still hush-hush announcement coming on Thursday and some are predicting the Corp.'s Saturday nights will now be filled with the ladies' league.
"(The PWHL) has scheduled a media event at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto on Thursday, where it is promising a "major announcement."
For now, nothing has been confirmed. But a move like that could make a lot of sense to fill a huge gap on the CBC on its now empty Saturday nights.

Not a bad idea as I have watched Toronto Sceptres quite a bit and giving PWHL a regular time slot would only help gain viewership. I also think that they could broadcast Toronto Tempo basketball game as well, although they didn’t have the best season this year, still, I enjoyed watching and they have room to grow!
