Global National Gets New Weekend Anchor
Her name is Coleen Christie, and she's better known out west than in these parts. She takes over the anchor desk at Global National's Weekend Newscast on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, after a successful career at Global B.C.
It's not immediately clear what happens to Kevin Gallagher, who had been sitting on the desk recently.

Global National has been without a permanent weekend anchor since Farah Nasser left a couple years ago. Kevin Gallagher will be unaffected. He does the weekend local news, not Global National.

She's a great anchor. I hope to God Corus doesn't lay her off in a year from now like how they did Farah Nasser.

That is approximately when Neetu Garcha is to return from maternity leave so it's possible.
