As a Star Trek fan who has every DVD ever made, I have a suggestion for Bell Media.
We all know every tv station has times of the day when no one is watching. This has been filled with Canadian content in the past.
As a way of celebrating 60 years of Star Trek, why not use CTV2 ( as an example) and fill it with a Star Trek marathon.
I don't think there is much to lose for Bell and it might bring a few viewers back to OTA tv.
Remember when City TV was the Federation Station.

Great idea! Back in the day, when movies like “Batman” came out, Citytv would do marathons. I mentioned Batman as I worked on the promos for the Batathon Weekend, which included the original 60s TV series and related movie, fun to work on, plus Batman was my favourite show as a kid, bonus! We also did a few Trekkiethons (?) as well.
And speaking of Citytv being the Federation Station, picking up Star Trek TNG was a big risk that really paid off as other stations passed on it in the Canadian market, gotta love the old Citytv!

Out here in my neck of the woods, Pembroke's CHRO (channel 5, cable 6, now "CTV2 Ottawa") was Ottawa and the Valley's "Federation Station", and in the early '90s, aired this promo. Thank you to the great Retrontario for sharing it on YouTube! ![]()

I had that shirt as well RA! You have kept it in good condition. Such a great idea from Citytv, they were pretty good at self promotion. Can you imagine the current Citytv doing anything like this? When they were airing Star Trek, fans would show up during the annual Open House dressed up like Trekkies, lots of them one year in particular! Thanks for sharing.
