This story from the Canadian Press outlines what some formerly well-known Blue Jays are doing now. And more than a few of them are hitting it out of the park with their own baseball related podcasts. Names include such heroes as Josh Donaldson, Kevin Pillar, Ricky Romero, and Canada’s own Russell Martin.
They provide insights you won’t find anywhere else, because they were once in the dugout.
“Any time you can get former players to speak on the current state of either the team or the game, you’re allowing people an inside view of what’s going on behind the scenes,” said Pillar, who also co-hosts the “To The Majors” baseball podcast.

One name this story left out is former Jays catcher Gregg Zaun, who hosts an oft-repeated (several times a week) baseball show called “The Brushback” on Saua960 AM. He may have left the baseball world amidst some controversy, but with little to lose, he often holds nothing back.
It’s not always a riveting show, but it’s generally devoted to the Blue Jays and his insights can be harsh, but at least you can tell he’s been there.
The show airs at 4 PM and 9 PM Thursdays, with repeats Saturdays at 1 PM and 7 in the evening, and Sundays at 3 in the afternoon. It's also available as a podcast on iHeart.
