BTPM the source?

Does anyone know the launch date for btpm the source?
I think it was the 14th or 15th?
And does anyone have the full schedule?

Re: BTPM the source?

August 13   NPR programming will stay on WBFO. NPR doesn't allow their programs on commercial stations.

BTPM hasn't released it YET. Which surprises me.

Shows that ARE making the move to The Source, per the FAQ on BTPM's website....

*The New York Times' The Daily
*Marketplace and the Marketplace Morning Report
*The Splendid Table
*This Old House
*BBC World Service

(None of these shows are distributed by NPR, which is why The Bridge can air them.)
This in addition to BTPM The Bridge being heard every night, along with high school sports in season.

Re: BTPM the source?

We would have to sea when the source launches thursday.
I hope they give a voice to both the centre left and centre right of the political spectrum now that there not under NPR.
I hope there more like a WGN or like news nation, but on the radio.

An interesting note on the WNED-FM website

"Some listeners may notice occasional reception issues with our BTPM Classical signal. We have identified an issue with our transmitter and are awaiting replacement equipment. In the meantime, we are operating with a temporary solution that keeps us on the air but may result in reduced signal strength or intermittent reception for some listeners."

Will that delay the launch?

NewsNation is the Nick at Nite of cable news.

94.5 has a commercial license; when The Source debuts, they can air enhanced underwriting announcements. It's the middle ground between the underwriting you hear on NPR or your local college radio station and full-blown ads on commercial radio.
