Wow! 5.5 million is impressive, about 12% of the population. Compared to the last Stanley Cup which had an AMA of 1.3 million, very telling.

Yes and the number doesn't include French language viewership on RDS and Noovo. I would think the US final numbers will be out soon. I did see that on FOX alone the early estimate was about 35-40 million.

What would really be telling is how or if those Fox numbers changed after the U.S. was eliminated.

The ratings in the US have been much stronger than past years for the World Cup. All matches were setting records even when the US wasn't involved. And when you add in Spanish viewership on Peacock/Telemundo the ratings have been record breaking in the US every game.
