Gee, there must have been one bored board bunny, because at 9:48am during the Stafford Show, GNR 640 Toronto rolled out "you're listening to Matt and Supriya." There has been noticable dead air on both Newstalk and Sportsnet going into breaks this Friday morning. It's kind of funny hearing the hiss over the airwaves, when ten seconds of silence can feel like forever.
Peter Shurman on 640, and 1010's Dave Trafford didn't bat an eyelash, and just ignored the occasional glitches. But with all the computers these days, it's hard to understand how more than a half beat of a pause can happen, unless someone is rushing back from a bathroom trip maybe?

They don't go to the bathroom any more.
They just put that shit on the radio.

That would be a precise tag line for 640.

Second-hand news, so ymmv. Many stations in the US have policies in place where bathroom breaks must be scheduled in advance and at least two managers must sign off on the request,
