I took some time to watch the Andy & Anderson’s 4th of July special last night on CNN and had mixed reactions. I know it was going to be much like their New Year’s Eve show, but it seemed like they were winging it a lot more and less planned out. They also got into the hooch pretty early as Andy Cohen seemed tipsy from the get go!
It was entertaining, but for about 20 minutes. When they start interviewing their parents, like Cohen did, I usually move on!

Their schtick was entertaining on CNN New Year's Eve years ago. A change from Dick Clark or whatever CBC was trying to do. Now it has grown tired and predictable and hard to watch IMO.

No shortage of die hards that watch simply because it's them.
No need to let them go and try something new...

Actually Radiowiz, I watched as I like to see how networks cover a special occasion regardless of who is hosting. I once worked on such TV productions and find it interesting, especially live shows that have a degree of unpredictability, weather being the obvious one, but how guests react etc. This one didn’t hold my attention unfortunately.
