"Under The Influence" Gone For The Next Few Months
If you're a fan of CBC Radio's "Under The Influence" about advertising, you're going to be in for a long wait for the next word from your sponsor. The last episode of the season aired Thursday, with the traditional "Listeners Questions" segment.
The show will return but if previous seasons are any indication, it will be a long time until you hear a new episode. Unlike many shows that return in the fall, this one isn't likely to be back on air until sometime in January - around seven months from now. There may be reruns in the timeslot until then, but that's an awfully long time to not have any fresh shows.
The good news is the show has been renewed and will back eventually.

Terry O'Reilly's daughters show ' We regret to inform you ' is coming back for another run. If I recall, it was on Wednesday's last summer.

I catch the Saturday 11:30am broadcast of this show, usually when I’m running errands! The Listeners Questions is always entertaining to listen to and wonder why they don’t do it more often, like a weekly or monthly feature with a query or two.
I listened to “We Regret to Inform You” quite a few times last year and enjoyed it as well, so may tune in again. Glad to hear “Under the Influence “ has been renewed as it is my favourite program on Radio One!

New episodes from January to June only has been the norm for a few years now.

New episodes from January to June only has been the norm for a few years now.
That's true, but every year it seems like a longer stretch of time before it returns and I find I often forget about it and miss the first few shows. Although they are available online once they air. Seven months is a long absence on the radio to keep a show top of mind.
