As so often happens, I stumbled across this by accident. But what a weird error on the NewsTalk 1010 website. Under the "shows" banner, it lists their Christmas Music programming going on until noon. And then, if you believe what's there, we're going to be served up "Alex Pierson," who is listed as being on from 12 PM Monday to 12 AM Tuesday.
Man, that's one long shift!
The fact that Alex Pierson just happens to have started a new nightly show on AM 640, the direct competition, just makes the whole thing even more bizarre.
And by the way, listed as running from 1 AM - 4 AM Tuesday is Coast To Coast AM, which I thought wasn't starting until Jan. 1st. If any of that is an actual preview of what's to come, it appears they intend to keep Reality Radio running from midnight to 1 AM, then only run Coast until four in the morning. "Conversations" with John Moore is supposedly on from 4-5.
All in all, a very strange way to end the year.

RA: C2C has been airing this past week on RB already, starting at midnight. Looks like Beyond Reality Radio is toast. No idea what 640 airs now that their weirdo-fest has been stolen.

Well, noon has come and gone. More Xmas and no Alex. The only thing I can think of is that this is some old template that somehow went live by mistake. If memory serves, Pierson was doing some fill-in work for RB for a time - I remember she could never properly pronounce the name "Agar" for some reason.
As for C2C, I wasn't aware it was already on. I guess I'll have to listen to 640 after midnight to see what they've put in its place. My guess? The reroll show, which is what Corus always seems to use whenever there's a gap in its programming.
[Edit: Actually, Charles Adler's show from the west coast goes on until 1 AM, so whatever follows it will tell the tale.]

It wouldn't surprise me if 640 goes with more classic old time radio shows overnight.

.....Or how about if they scoop Beyond Reality Radio?! Make the swap complete.
