I'm not a huge sports fan, but even I can tell when something amazing is going on. I can't recall a month quite like this one for sports on television. Outside of not having the Olympics or the NFL, there is almost more for a sports fan to watch than there's time for. 

In addition to the World Cup, there's the Stanley Cup Finals, the NBA Finals (now done, but still part of the month), the Calder Cup featuring the Toronto Marlies in the running to win it all, the Jays nearing mid-season and the CFL just getting underway. Not to mention the WNBA, various flavours of golf, including a tournament in Toronto's own backyard, and Wimbledon tennis getting ready to start at the end of June. 

I'm exhausted just thinking about it - and I'm not even who it's aimed at. 

We've had special events here before, including the World Series and an MLB All Star game. But has there ever been a month on TV quite like this one for sports fans? If there was, I can't remember when it happened.
