But don't talk about abortion or the lack thereof... Corus doesn't like that..
A radio station owned by Canadian media giant Corus Entertainment told a popular radio host he can’t speak at the annual March for Life banquet because it would be “too divisive and polarizing” and not “on brand for the station,”
LifeSiteNews has learned.Andrew Lawton told Campaign Life Coalition in an email he was declining an invitation to be keynote speaker at the May 2018 March for Life’s Rose Dinner.Lawton turned down the offer because his employer, Global Radio 980 CFPL, “has decided it would be ‘too divisive and polarizing’ for me to speak at a pro-life event, and not ‘on brand for the station’,” he wrote in the email obtained by LifeSiteNews.

I can see why CFPL would want to stay away from this very divisive issue. They have nothing to gain.
I like listening to his show on CFPL. Mr. Lawton has really come a long way in terms of professionalism compared to the first year he was on the air. He's a good interviewer and asks well thought out questions. He's shone a light on some interesting issues that other media have not covered well. The Lindsay Shepherd incident at Laurier comes to mind.
He is able to access good guests for interviews and is usually very respectful even if he disagrees with them. I believe he tries to present both sides of a topic.
I can see him eventually becoming a significant voice in Canadian media. But in this case, he's probably wise to sit this one out.
My 2 cents worth...
