I have no idea if it is the streaming app at fault, but Deb Hutton sounds like she has been sucking on a helium balloon during her coverage of the first day of FIFA. Or is there a newbie on the board?

Interesting, you heard a helium effect - so high and squeaky?
I tuned in now to their stream and it's running extremely slowwwwwwwwwwww, deeper voices all around - sounds like the audio that accompanies a slow-motion sequence.

Seems to have been corrected now. ![]()
Edit: Spoke too soon. Following a commercial break, back to ultra-high. Wonder if it's a pre-taped segment with Crouse and there's an issue in playback.

It's almost certainly a sample-rate mismatch on the stream.

It would be funny if they gliched and the stream and onair station was backwords.
It would sound like I'm listening to a talk station in another language such as dutch, gailic, albanian, or even german mixed with french and polish.
That's what the backwords afect sounds like to me.
I was kind of hoping the gliches were still going to give me something to laugh at in this unfunny world of boring internet videos and bad news.
A newstalk station where every one has deep voices or sounds like alvin and the chipmunks?
Now that would get me laughing.

At first, I thought perhaps 1010 was going to start traffic reports from hot air balloons 😁

Weird thing is it seemed fine on air.
I have heard this type of glitch before but only online, and not only 1010, other stations as well, first world problem!
