Some Good News For TV And Movie Fans
Unlike years past, there won't be any disruption to your favourite show or the filming of an upcoming flick. The actors' unions in the U.S. have reached a tenative deal that will prevent a shut down of major studios, like the one that happened for five months back in 2023. It essentially halted all production in Hollywood, leaving no new movies in theatres and endless reruns on TV.
It also affected production in Toronto, a major North American hub for shows and films.
In addition to higher wages, the new deal also considers the growing effect of A.I. in movies and TV - a real worry for actors, especially after the late Val Kilmer was recently brought back to life by the technology for a new film.

On the subject of movies, I watched Sisu: The Road to Revenge last night which can be found on Crave . It's a fictional story of a Finnish army commander whose family was killed by a Russian and his team during WW 2 . There has been two movies made now based on these characters. If you like brutal violence mixed with cheering for a hero, this is a great time waster, as was the first movie too. My wife, who is Finnish, couldn't watch it to the end. I , however, loved it.
