Corus wants to know not only what you're listening to, but when and for how long. The company has debuted an online survey to gauge listener habits and is offering the small reward for taking part. I took it right up until it asked for me name and email, which I don't want them to have. My personal info is worth more to me than 90 bucks.
But you may feel differently. Among the questions beyond asking for your demo:
How long do you listen, what do you listen to, how often you listen and other info. At one point, it gets pretty specific, wanting to know what you've heard in the last week and who you listen to in the morning. It then asks you to take part in a 90-minute Zoom seminar in late May. It would be fun to monitor that, but I honestly don't have the time.
Want to try your hand at it? Here's the link:
Corus' Ontario Radio Roundtable
And here's a sample screen grab. Interesting to note which stations they included.

wonder who they will lay off to pay for this

To want to be on a ZOOM call for 90 minutes is definitely not worth $90.00.
I answered the screening survey in such a way as I thought I would never qualify but to my surprise I did. That alone makes me wonder what they would gain by including my feedback in any decisions they may make.

The new Number 2.
But unlike The Prisoner, no one resigns. They're fired or laid off first.

I just heard them advertise this on AM640. I presume the spots may also be running on CFNY and Q107.
Oddly, they have this same campaign on Country 104 in Woodstock/London. But when it comes to listing all the stations you listen to in an average week, all of them are from Toronto. So I'm guessing those going for the 90 bucks in the Forest City area won't be filling in any of them. Pointless.

OMG. I thought there's no way and that maybe you'd missed something, but nope, London listeners can't select London stations.

So surprisingly I am in that listening area. I filled out the survey and still qualify for the call but I'm not taking a 90 minute zoom interview for 90 bucks.. I thought I wanted to but then remembered time is limited...

Layoffs are accompanied with a "be seeing you".
And the door opens automatically when they kick you out.

Or maybe not. There is no reference to this "radio roundtable" on either The Edge or Q's websites. Interesting if this is restricted to just a few stations, including 640 and the Woodstock outlet. Why would they do that?

Q and Edge had it up until recently. They might have met their needed threshold for lparticipants from those stations, which would make sense as they’d have the most listeners.

That would certainly make sense. Any thoughts on what they're ultimately hoping to achieve with this thing?
