Interesting that GNR640 didn't go the whole hog and adopt the "non-stop news" wheel format during their drives. Both Hamilton and London have gone that route.
Not when there's already a 680 News next door on the dial serving the same market.
A business news wheel would be good, maybe?

I think AM 640 gets more mentions on this site than they have listeners. Can't see how the rebranding will help.

It's not just the rebranding. They have a cleaner, more serious (not quite sterile) flow to their clock. Losing the bumpers is a good choice. However, their stinger for IDs is too similar to their actual news sting.
What they didn't do is have their hosts/producers consult each other in terms of topics. Very often, the next host repeats the same topic(s) from the previous show. Yes, it could be argued that TSL is in play, but for the shut ins and the board regulars, it could be a turn off.

So just because "it was always done that way", it should continue that way? I find it absolutely hilarious that people on here wanted AM640 to change, and hours after they do, they complain of the damn change. 🤔
This isn't change - this is annoyance
