Robert Duvall Gone At 95

He was one of those actors who could play just about anything. And right up until the end, he did.

Robert Duvall died on Sunday after an amazing career in film, including memorable appearances in The Godfather and winning an Oscar for Tender Mercies. He also appeared in many TV series in his career.

But it was in one of my favourite movies, Apocalypse Now, that he uttered what may be his most memorable line. "I love the smell of napalm in the morning."

Duvall was 95.

Re: Robert Duvall Gone At 95

Just was talking with The Bride about some of his great performances and there were so many.  Personal favourites, Open Range with Kevin Costner.  So So movie but he was very good, and of course Lonesome Dove.   He was actually in so many movies it is hard to think of an excellent movie that he wasn't in.
