There's a good reason why you don't see some of your childhood favourites on Netflix, Disney+, Crave and many others. And it has to do with something no one could have prepared for back then - the Internet itself.
"When most television shows from the 1980s and 1990s were produced, the standard talent and guild agreements covered only traditional broadcast, syndicated reruns, and home-video releases. Internet distribution was not contemplated, so the contracts simply omitted it. Actors, writers, directors, musicians, and even behind-the-scenes crew members never granted digital streaming rights."
Music rights are also an issue as are reality shows, where permission from participants didn't include having their images on the web. And unless the rules are changed, you may never see some old favourites on any service.
"A program first aired in 1985 remains protected for at least another six decades, and corporate-owned works receive 120 years of protection from creation. Most viewers alive today will never see official releases of their childhood favorites without drastic copyright reform."
Well, there's always Retrontario and YouTube!
Why Classic TV Shows from the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s Are Not Streaming On Disney+, Peacock, Paramount+, HBO Max, & More

CTV has classic shows on there website for free.
Classic shows are more fun than any of the boring junck on a streamer.
I'm young, you would think I have netflix or crave or the others, The only one I want to get is stacktv.
And the only streamers I subscribe to is music ones like youtube because music is more werth my money than tv or movies.
If the streamers add argos games, charls incharged, and concerts I cant watch on youtube, I might subscribe.
