The one thing you're sure to see if you turn on your TV Dec. 24th (and possibly hear on radio) is the yearly Santa Tracking report that appears every single Yuletide. It started at NORAD way back in 1955, but was never meant to actually exist. 

Turns out this early holiday tradition that turns up on almost every TV screen Xmas Eve started completely by mistake and with the good graces of one man, who decided to put up with a lot of phone calls he wasn't expecting.
