It's a lot easier to cut the cord in the States. Everything you could ever want streams as a live tv channel.
Here in Canada, that's just not the case.
If you cut the cord, your black box (or red or whatever colour) simply won't stream CTV, CBC or City.
(Global, maybe, if lucky)
Therefore, a basic $25/month cable package is still needed.
