The CW, which has carried a number of Canadian shows this season, will no longer be airing "Son Of A Critch." The Mark Critch show will remain on the CBC with a new fifth season here, but it won't be available to viewers in the States.
Other Caniuck staples, like Citytv's "Law & Order Toronto" and Global's "Family Law," continue to be seen on the smallest of the American over-the-air networks.

Wild Cards also is on CW 9pm on Wednesdays after L&O Toronto. They are in repeats now and Season 3 premiere's in January. CBC has renewed Wild Cards for a 4th season.

Doubt it's a possible reason, but Mark Critch does play Trump on This hour has 22 minutes.

I think it's more likely that the unique nature of Newfoundland, its speech patterns and its culture, just don't resonate with Americans.

And he does a pretty good job of it! Did you happen to catch his latest where Trump is reading “Quiet Bunny”* to a group of kids? It is pretty funny, you can find it on line.
* That should have read “Quiet Piggy”, sorry about that!

Son Of A Critch is also available on Netflix here and the US. The agreement with CW and CBC was for three seasons which CW has shown. CW did not extend for seasons 4 and 5. Wouldn't be surprised if the series ends at 5 since the young Mark is quickly growing up. Ratings wise S of C was about average to a bit above for CW.
