Does any other person also knotis this?
What do you guess bell will do with 104.5 hd 2 and 99.9 hd4 in the newyear?
Are the moving pure country to chum's hd 2 and launching a new format?
Or they going to launch a new format on 104.5 hd 2 or put made in canada radio there?
What are your guesses?
I want to start a huge conversation about this.

The Pure Country and iHeart holidays HD channels exist only so they don't have to pay royalties for their streams on the iHeart app.

Maybe in the new year they will replace them with useful self-help podcasts on how to pay for all that Christmas cheer.

No. 4 -- a fabulous idea, Sir. For the benefit of SOWNY fans who are not familiar with the growing "pure country classics" radio format, please name five example of tunes that should be considered for upcoming pure country classics playlists:
1950's
1960's
1970s
1980s
1990's

I suppose? But why put the same channel on both stations? They could make another 3 royalty free but don't... oh bell...

You may be struggling with this, so here's a few suggestions to kick start the process
1950s - El Paso - Marty Robbins
Heartaches by the Number - Guy Mitchell
Ring of Fire - Johnny Cash
1960s - North to Alaska - Johnny Horton
Gone - Ferlin Husky
Talk Back Trembling Lips - Ernest Ashworth
Fom a Jack to a King - Ned Miller
You're welcome

Might as well have a few CHUM listeners find it rather than going to CHFI. It's spitting into the wind, but why not?

This Friday, Nov. 28, will be the 100th anniversary of Nashville's Grand Ole Opry. Gene Stevens is getting a head start on celebrations today on his Sunday program on AM 740. A couple more candidates for the Pure Country sixties list are Patsy Cline - Crazy and Hank Snow - Movin On
Thx to Scar-Bluffs for mentioning the Pure Country initiative; am looking forward to the launch
