I'm watching the CBC this week and afternoon host Andrew Nichols is interviewing a fellow about the imminent release of the JFK papers.
I'm half-listening to the discussion when I noticed the name of the man being interviewed...
The graphic says he's "David Irishman"...
Really?
I yell to my wife..."hey look at this guys name -- can you see it...jeeze that's a different name ya"...
Then...suddenly...right before our very eyes...."David Irishman" instantly became David Shribman
Someone at the C.B.C. graphics dept. noticed the quirky name too...and made the correction...
Leaves me with some questions to ponder
Was the mistake made by a young employee with a degree in journalism??
Was the correction made by a young employee with a degree in journalism??
Am I getting good value for my tax dollar??
Thanks...

...And cue the usual vitriol about corporations and the state of media today. 🤔😒
