I'm not sure how many people actually listen to community radio station CKCU-FM, but they must be doing something right - they've been around for 50 years. Now the city of Ottawa is recognizing that milestone, with an official proclamation noting CKCU Day.

The city's mayor once used to volunteer there, and decided the multi-languagecommunity station was worthy of the honour. 

CKCU Day will be celebrated - if that's the word - on November 15th.
