Giving Thanks For Live Talk Radio On The Holiday
It isn't often you get to hear actual live and local talk radio on a major stat holiday, but several stations opted to do regular programming on Monday. 680 is always live, of course, but so was CBC Radio 1, where David Common was doing a regular version of Metro Morning.
I'm not sure what The Fan usually does on these days, but they almost had no choice after the Jays game the night before. You really couldn't air a replay or rely on CBS Radio for content. You had to have someone on talking about what happened at the Dome the night before.
TSN 1050 sounded like it was taking ESPN, because they were talking endlessly about the NFL. I've noticed lately the American all sports feeds do nothing but football, whether college or pro, even as the baseball playoffs are getting serious. It sometimes seems like they don't even acknowledge there are other sports going on.
And CFRB and AM640? You guessed it. Rerolls all day. Some things never change.

When I just tuned in a few moments ago, 7:50am, CFRB was airing Trump’s speech live to the Knesset in Israel, which actually surprised me as I was expecting some sort of re-roll! It switched to CP24 at 8am.

Hopefully, 1010 airs the show from CJAD like they did last year around this time.

They always do the CP24 thing on weekend and holidays, usually from 7-9 AM. I don't actually count a simulcast of TV audio in the same way as their regular morning programming, but at least it's not a reroll like the rest of the day will be.

1010 is now airing CJAD with the Elias Makos show until noon, so there is something live to listen to and Makos is pretty good, first time listening to him. You were right Sbr99!
