It Happened - The Partridge Family Were Once Nominated For A Grammy
So how does a fake group made up of actors who were never musicians (even the Monkees had some of the latter) get nominated for a Grammy Award, opposite such talent as Elton John, The Carpenters and even Anne Murray?
It's hard to imagine, but it happened just after the show went on the air.

Well, a total fake band that isn't even human has won a total of 7 Grammy awards. Alvin and The Chipmunks won their awards in 1959 and the early 60's. Interesting to note and rather sad that up until early this year Alvin and his pals had as many Grammy awards as the Beatles....
