NBC has announced that "The Paper," a spin-off of the American remake of "The Office," will now air on NBC as well as its pay streaming service Peacock. The show, about an editor's effort to get a defunct newspaper up and running again despite having only amateurs as reporters, will debut for the first time on over-the-air TV Monday Nov. 10th.
It features the same "documentary crew" gimmick as "Office" did and has a mostly new cast. But it will be in the spirit of its predecessor. Reviews of the show have been mixed, but for those who loved the old Steve Carrell program, it might be worth a shot - especially since it won't cost you a dime to watch.

It does cost however; if you’re still paying for cable.
Our household recently agreed to not renew our (expensive) contract with Shaw and try an independent internet provider. We will continue streaming by Crave, Disney+, Netflix, Prime and (maybe) Apple TV.
YouTube is in the picture too, as is still free (with ads) and is becoming more of a player in the field.
The biggest sacrifices for me will be Turner Classic Movies, the balance of the NFL season and MLB playoffs (no one here is into hockey that much, although we do support the Abbotsford Canucks (AHL champs).
Local TV networks won’t be missed.
We’ll see how it goes.
