Before anybody craps on Bell and/or Rogers, the duo are employed by the team and NOT the broadcasters. Yes, Bell is a major sponsor of the Senators, but at the end of the day, it's the Sens organization that signs Dean & Gord's paycheques.

Are they perhaps pinching the pennies to help raise money for a new home?

A new arena will not save that franchise, it would have to relocate or win a cup to see any momentum. Never mind that having their two radio boys stay home will not save up any money in the grand scheme of a one billion dollar arena.
