I was also just thinking, since the Toronto station aired Durham ads last night, (ie a car dealership in  Peterborough or Oshawa)  what happens to those with car dealerships (etc) in Toronto who may have bought spots on the Toronto station, but their Toronto ad did not air?? 

Isn't that a lot of money lost??  Doesn't Global owe them a refund??

Something went very wrong somewhere last night...especially with not airing Toronto's news @ 11PM.

The 6:00 Global News tonight IS the Toronto feed but all the local commercials are Peterborough and Oshawa... weird. 

This has been happening in reverse for years, just occasionally but still way too often. The Global Toronto newscast will just randomly show up in place of the Global Peterborough newscast in the slot, usually without any explanation to the viewer, and what little Peterborough news they still cover is just left out, or if they are lucky down the cast. The CHEX Global Peterborough and CKWS Global Kingston newscasts are still done from the Peterborough studio on weekdays, maybe with Barber Greene as master control, not sure. But randomly they seem to have switching errors, or technical problems or maybe just staffing problems or whatever, yet they usually seem to be able to maintain the Peterborough ads while filling in with the Toronto newscast.
