I've never understood the concept of pranking and have always thought April Fool's Day is kinda dumb.
That aside, listing Orson Welles' "War of the Worlds" program as a prank feels disingenuous.
And that picture of Nixon is not Nixon, I'm guessing it's Frank Langella in full make up from the "Frost/Nixon" film.

The spaghetti harvest is a classic, and also harmless.
I hate pranks that cause discomfort or alarm.
One that was not mentioned was not really a prank, but it was misinformation.
That was a Disney documentary that faked the mass suicide of lemmings.
To this day people believe lemmings commit mass cliff jumping.
They don't.
