Why Does CKTB Still Not Have A Website?

It's one of the staples of modern day broadcasting - a website for your station, where you can list your. programming, highlight your personalities, list your schedule and put up your podcasts. It's been well over a month since Whiteoaks took over CKTB from Bell, and the station still does not have an actual website. All I can find is this page, that tells you nothing about when "soon" ends.

It baffles me how they could have known the big change was coming and not have this ready by now. What could possibly be taking them so long?

Because they're in SO FAR over their heads.

Even on that temporary site, the social links are useless: The FB and IG accounts can't be seen in Canada, and the Twitter/X account hasn't been updated in 3 years.

Re: Why Does CKTB Still Not Have A Website?

It's kind of surprising. I remember when my TV station was just getting into websites and was setting up its own news page. They hired a firm to make it look like the News Director wanted, showed him a few proofs and they were sent away to get it done.

Less than a week later, it was finished, a few tweaks were applied, and it was online within a few days after that.

The whole thing took less than two weeks and after a soft launch test, we were up and running.

I cannot understand in this day and age when you can almost prefab a site, they still don't have one.

It's not just CKTB...all the stations that Whiteoaks recently took over from Bell still don't have websites. All look the same as the CKTB "site" right now. Coming soon....
