War Of Words Between Blue Jays & Yankee Broadcasters After Sweep

You usually expect teams to diss each other. But broadcasters? That doesn't happen as often.

But there's an ongoing feud between Sportsnet's Jamie Campbell and Yankees play-by-play man Michael Kay after the Bronx Bombers get bombed out of the Rogers Centre last week in a rare Blue Jays sweep. It started when Kay opined on air that Toronto is not a first place team - which is where the Jays found themselves after winning four straight.

Campbell then appeared on air, calling Kay out and brandishing a broom, which he promptly threw at the camera.

Kay was not about to take it lying down and responded in kind on Sunday. with a rebuttal of his own about what he meant by his comment.

This isn't over - the Yankees will be back in Toronto later this month for a 3-game rematch, and the two will likely have more to say in this sometimes not-so-friendly feud. We knew New York and the Jays were not fans of each other. Who knew two of their announcers were rivals as well?

Looks like they're trying to make peace.
