Here's hoping the repetitive, and unremarkable bit of music that passed as the new off the top of the hour show intro on 'The Stafford Show' Friday morning on am640, was somebody's "new Coke experiment."
Stafford himself acknowledged the new show intro in passing without noticable enthusiasm.
Over at 1010, Jerry Agar exchanged his traditional Friday bumpers of Motown's greatest hits for lesser known but equally enjoyable songs of that era, and it sounded good.
Show intros and bumpers get overlooked sometimes, they make a show sound shiny and fresh or stale. Those overused tunes by Sloan, Beck, and the Verve, along with a few others ought to be retired.

They also have a new traffic intro stinger. But I liked the old one better.
