Ex-CTV Anwar Knight Returns With A Cause - Justice For His Son

Former CTV weather personality Anwar Knight turned up on AM640 Monday, after posting a Facebook entry about his son being attacked at his school - with what he claims was a cover-up attempt by the Peel District School Board.

He says his 10-year-old was tackled from behind by an older student, breaking two bones and forcing him to be rushed to the hospital. He says attempts to get answers from the school proved futile, despite promises of transparency. The principal maintains the other kid simply bumped into his son and it was all an accident. But Knight says that's not what happened, with the principal telling cops who investigated that she'd done her own probe and there was nothing more to see.

Knight doesn't buy it and has gone on a crusade to get justice for his kid and to force accountability.

He claims the Board has done this to other parents, and it has to stop.

Interesting to hear Knight again, who has been podcasting about climate change since he left CTV (or more to the point - CTV left him.) But he's using his former fame to highlight a personal matter and it's attracting attention. At least 214,000 people have watched his story and he's calling for change.

It's a side of Knight you never saw on air. And you can watch his compelling statement here.

I'd heard that there was an avalanche on Toy Mountain. There were no reports of survivors.

What's Tom Brown got to do with school bullying?
Oh, yeah, "Tom Brown's School Days," I almost forgot.
Bully Harry Flashman went on to star in a wonderful series of books by George McDonald Fraser.
