CBC's Terry O'Reilly Reveals How A Lack Of Radio Helped His Career

The host of CBC Radio's long running "Under The Influence" show, about advertising and marketing, credits having few radio signals in his hometown of Sudbury back in the day with helping his career.

"Weren't that many radio signals that bounced into Sudbury," he said.

"We had limited media influence, so what that meant to me was you had to use your imagination a lot."

Ironic then, that radio has become one of his regular haunts. His show airs Thursdays and Saturdays at 11:30 AM on Radio 1.

I heard the interview with Terry on my drive into work Tuesday morning. His mom was on with him also. It wasn't mentioned if his parents still live in Sudbury, so I would guess likely not.
