Grandma Betty

Makes me pine for the incredulous dunce who wet his pants every time Christine Magee told him about the amazing deals available at the Mix and Match sale.

Just another sexist, ageist, dumb, and played-out stereotype that someone spent thousands of dollars advertising.

Honest question on my part: does this approach still work these days?

How long will any commercial spot last if it isn't working these days or any days?

Re: Grandma Betty

I'm out of the loop on this one, I do remember the whole 'grandma betty' thing, but it was more of a US thing a few years ago, and she died of lung cancer.

Madness takes its toll.  Please have exact change.

Re: Grandma Betty

Christine Magee's spots are compelling now that we don't hear her every two minutes

Re: Grandma Betty

Iain - Sleep Country now has a old woman mascot named Grandma Betty that does all the talking. It's... crap.

Re: Grandma Betty

To paraphrase a line from Strange Brew:

Grandma Betty's dead, but we still enjoy her mattress.
