Never mind the Blue Jays. Ever hear of the Savannah Bananas? You likely will over the coming months. 

They're a stunt-based baseball team that are attracting increasing crowds across North America and now the CW is bringing one of their games to free network TV. 

What's so special about the "team?" Think the Harlem Globetrotters, only with bats and gloves. 

“Banana Ball” incorporates humor, gymnastics, lip syncs and snappy dance choreography in a minor league baseball game with rules that definitely don’t match those of Major League Baseball — though many of the players once had MLB aspirations. This year the team has sold out 18 major league ballparks, plus three football stadiums with capacities of more than 70,000."

The CW will show a scheduled game on July 27th, a match that is already sold out. Incredibly, most of their games are and there's an actual waiting list for tickets, which is said to be nearly 3 million names long!
