Today In Chart History Returns To RadioWest.ca
With the passing last March of Ted Wendland (radiofan) many of the popular daily features on RadioWest.ca were no longer available. Ted was a major contributor and had provided daily highlights like Today In Broadcast History, Cancon 45 Of The Day, and Today In Chart History.
A few days ago Neumann Sennheiser who is another regular contributor began to repost Ted's daily chart history feature. Really interesting to see what was popular on this date from various stations in the 50-80's.
Here is what was played on June 1st decades ago..

Thanks for sharing paterson1, there were songs charted here that I had completely forgotten about, like “Butterfly” by Danyel Gerard, which is a French song, I also remember an English version but by who, no idea!

SW, the version you heard in English would have also been by Gérard ... he actually recorded it twice in English. Beautiful song.
