He announced tonight that he will be leaving CTV Kitchener to join CTV Morning Live Ottawa to be closer to his family.
We had Lyndsay Morrison, Shannon Bradbury and now Will Aiello departing in the weather department at CTV Kitchener.

Any relation to CTV's National Correspondent Rachel Aiello?

Will seems to be a good guy, and likes to have fun on air. He was so/so as a weather person, but when he interviews people he tends to shine better. I have only seen him do light feature reporting, so hosting the local CTV morning show in Ottawa will be a stretch for him. Although, if the Ottawa program is anything like Your Morning, he probably won't be covering that many serious stories.

I thought about that too. Not sure though.

According to what appears to be a poorly written A.I. article, they're not related. It says she's from Peterborough while he was born and raised in Ottawa and the only thing they have in common is their surname and the coincidence of working for CTV.
Speaking of CTV and surnames, here's another coincidental puzzle - are Scott Hurst and Allison Hurst related? Both are on CTV Toronto's newscasts all the time. According to some posts I've looked at (and this is the Internet, so there's no way of trusting anything completely) they're married. Both worked together in Vancouver before moving east and winding up at CTV.

I was thinking the Aiellos might be a married couple, making their hometowns somewhat irrelevant. But it would be an explanation why Will would relocate to Ottawa.
I've also wondered about the Hursts.
