ESPN's Feed For Sunday's Oilers Home Game

I was caught a little off guard by the early timing of the game today but my PVR recorded the game off of CITY-TV so I watched it a little late.    I was surprised to see no Chris Cuthbert or Craig Simpson from RSN, but the full blown ESPN coverage including intermissions and those weird interviews with the coaching staff on the bench, during the game.    Not unusual for an away game in the USA but odd for a game played in Canada.
Again, since I recorded it, I don't have the luxury of switching channels to see if the RSN feed was elsewhere, so does anyone know if this sim-sub coverage of the ESPN feed was what they settled with on CBC / RSN or did they bring the game with the RSN crew?
Seeing a game played in Canada on a Canadian network using exclusively the ESPN feed is a new wrinkle to me.

When a U.S. network is airing a game, Rogers will simsub the U.S. coverage on City..... the regular Canadian feed aired on CBC and Sportnet

They are two different shows, so no simsub on CBC and Sportsnet.  City simsubbed the ABC/ESPN show.
