Dcotor Who Fans May Not Want To Hear This

It's still one of my favourite all time sci fi shows. But where and when you'll see it again in North America is another matter.

It seems only appropriate that this story about the good Doctor is about time: after the current season ends, you won't see another new one until at least 2027. The BBC says the show is going on "hiatus," even as uncertainty swirls about the future of the veteran show, which dates all the way back to the 60s. (Two years is a very long time for an audience to wait for a new episode of any TV show.)

Disney recently entered in a co-production deal to help fund the show. But now the streaming giant, which also had rights to the new episodes in North America, has pulled out and this is likely the last year it will air in North America. Where you can see the new ones here - if they get made - is up in the air.

Doctor Who will continue even if Disney drops out – but there’s a devastating catch

By the way, you can still watch the show even if you're not a Disney+ subscriber. It airs free on the BBC, and you can access it for free over their iPlayer with a VPN, although a sign-in is required.
