Fascinating Brady In The Morning L.A. Aircheck Surfaces

I worked with the great Jim Felton (aka Brady In The Morning) at two stations, including his famous stint at  CFTR, and he was a wonderful man who left us way too soon. A Radio West poster has put up a version of Brady few of us have heard before - the morning man doing country on KLAC in L.A in 1988.

It's a fascinating snippet of him doing a different kind of radio, but it also incorporates some of the classic bits he used to do here - including the famous "Good Morning" sound effect, and the Environmental Elf (a remake of the Weather Fairy.)

It's amazing how talented he was that he could do just about any format. and still be so entertaining. Worth a listen if you were a fan.

You can hear it here.

Didn't mean to imply we didn't get to hear Brady try his hand at the old boots and saddle format in Toronto. In addition to his year at CJCL, Brady also worked at CFGM for a while, this time doing afternoons. This ad ran in 1986.
